Why filter at all?

"Safe to drink" isn't the same as clean

Municipal tap water is treated to meet safety standards, but that treatment leaves behind chlorine, and ageing pipes can add sediment, rust and other contaminants on the way to your glass. You can taste and smell the difference every day.

  • Traps sediment, rust and particles from old pipes
  • Carbon core reduces chlorine taste and odour
  • Ceramic pores physically block fine impurities
  • Keeps the healthy minerals your body needs

What's inside

Ceramic filtration in a solid stainless steel body

No flimsy plastic here. The ClearDrop unit is machined from food-grade 304 stainless steel and houses a two-part cartridge: a ceramic outer shell whose ultra-fine pores physically trap particles, wrapped around an activated carbon core that tackles chlorine taste and odour.

  • Food-grade 304 stainless steel body: rustproof, built to last
  • Ceramic shell traps sediment, rust flakes and fine particles
  • Activated carbon core reduces chlorine taste and odour
  • Washable: rinse the ceramic surface to restore flow and stretch each cartridge further

What's in the box

  • ClearDrop stainless steel filter unit
  • 1× ceramic filter cartridge (supplied separately, fits inside the unit)
  • Chrome diverter valve
  • 18mm→22mm threaded adapter + universal silicone adapter (fits 13–14mm, 16.5–18mm, 22–23.5mm spouts)
  • Quick-start install guide
Compatibility

Will it fit my tap?

ClearDrop's connector is a 22mm female thread, and it ships with adapters for the sizes that aren't. Between them they cover the vast majority of standard kitchen mixers. No plumber, no tools.

  1. Straight on If your spout has a 21.6mm (0.85″) male thread — the common size, usually sold as M22 — ClearDrop screws directly on.
  2. With the threaded adapter An 18mm female to 22mm male adapter is included, for spouts with an 18mm male thread.
  3. With the universal silicone adapter Also included. It grips the outside of the spout rather than a thread, with two removable rings covering 13–14mm, 16.5–18mm and 22–23.5mm outer diameters — so it works on spouts whose threads are worn, recessed, or internal.
  • Standard round-spout mixer taps: yes
  • Compact fit: 57mm wide, 106mm tall, clears most sink spaces
  • Pull-out spray hoses and sensor taps: not compatible

Quick check: measure across your tap's spout — across the threads if it has them, or the outside diameter if it doesn't. If that lands in any of the ranges above, one of the three fits.

Why switch

Six reasons to put ClearDrop on your tap

Cleaner, better-tasting water

Ceramic pores trap sediment and rust while the activated carbon core lifts chlorine taste and odour.

Solid stainless steel

Food-grade 304 stainless body: no plastic housing to crack, stain or leach.

3-minute install

Screws onto your existing tap by hand. Renters welcome, no plumber needed.

Full flow, no trickle

Designed to filter without choking your water pressure.

Filtered or unfiltered

Flick the lever to bypass the filter for washing up, so the cartridge lasts longer.

Cheap to run

The ceramic cartridge is washable: rinse and reuse it many times before replacing.

FAQ

Questions, answered

There are three ways it attaches. ClearDrop's 22mm female connector screws straight onto a 21.6mm (0.85″) male spout thread, the common size. For an 18mm male thread, use the included 18mm→22mm adapter. And if your spout has no usable thread, the included universal silicone adapter grips the outside instead, fitting 13–14mm, 16.5–18mm and 22–23.5mm outer diameters. Pull-out spray hoses and sensor taps aren't compatible. If you're unsure, email us a photo of your tap and we'll confirm.
You'll notice a slight change when the filter is engaged, but the unit is designed to keep flow practical for everyday use, and you can flick to unfiltered for full pressure any time.
Plan on about 6 months per cartridge. The ceramic is washable, so when flow slows you can unscrew it, rinse or gently scrub the surface, and pop it back in — that can stretch a cartridge toward 12 months depending on how hard your water is. Your ClearDrop comes with one cartridge, supplied separately so you fit it before first use.
No. The carbon core reduces chlorine taste and odour, and the ceramic shell traps particles, but fluoride is a dissolved mineral that carbon and ceramic don't meaningfully reduce. If fluoride removal matters to you, you'll need a reverse-osmosis system. We'd rather tell you straight.
Yes, it screws onto the tap aerator with no permanent changes, and comes off just as easily when you move.
Try it for 30 days. If you're not happy, contact us for a full refund. No hoops.
